In the morning, departure by 4x4 from Foum Zguid toward Iriki National Park and the Erg Chegaga dunes. After following a rocky, Paris-Dakar–style track, we will stop at the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi and at our desert camp for lunch. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, admire savanna-like landscapes, and relax in the shade of the camp terrace.
In the early afternoon, head toward the dunes. The sandy track winds through tamarisk trees before gradually revealing the spectacular sight of Erg Chegaga, crowned by the highest dune in Morocco. After a welcome tea at the camp, you can take a walk to the top of the dunes to admire the vast sea of sand and feel the unique energy of this serene landscape. For those who prefer, the walk can be replaced with a camel ride of about one hour through the dunes.
After this desert immersion, return by 4x4 to Foum Zguid, crossing the wide expanses of the former dried Lake Iriki. Several stops will be made to capture unforgettable photos in this exceptional setting.
