Starting from Foum Zguid, this 2-day desert tour takes you deep into the heart of Iriki National Park, one of Morocco’s most remote and untouched desert regions. You will cross a stunning variety of landscapes: rocky plateaus shaped by erosion, vast open plains, the remains of an ancient dried lake, and finally the serene dunes of Erg El M’Hazil.
Far from mass tourism, this journey offers an authentic Sahara experience, where silence, raw nature, and star-filled nights create unforgettable memories.
Departure in the morning by 4x4 from Foum Zguid. The route leads through impressive desert landscapes to the Laajirmia Oasis, a peaceful green stop surrounded by arid plains. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the flat-topped mountains often referred to as the Moroccan Colorado.
Continue to our desert camp, located in the heart of Iriki National Park, near a traditional nomadic settlement. Lunch is served on site, prepared with fresh local ingredients.
In the afternoon, walk or ride camels toward the dunes of Erg El M’Hazil, crossing the vast dry bed of Lake Iriki. Upon arrival at the bivouac, enjoy a welcome tea and free time before climbing the dunes to watch a breathtaking sunset.
Dinner is served by the campfire, followed by a peaceful evening under an exceptionally clear starry sky. Overnight stay in a comfortable desert tent.
Wake up to the calm atmosphere of the Sahara and enjoy breakfast outdoors. Return to Foum Zguid by 4x4, with scenic stops along the way to admire the changing desert landscapes.
