Departure at 8:00 AM from your hotel or riad in Marrakech to begin your desert tour from Marrakech toward the south of Morocco. The journey starts with a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains and the famous Tizi N’Tichka Pass, known for its panoramic views, red-rock landscapes and traditional mountain villages.
The road continues toward Tazenakht, a region famous for traditional Berber carpets, with several beautiful stops along the way. A lunch break is planned during the journey before continuing toward Foum Zguid, one of the most authentic gateways to the Moroccan Sahara.
Upon arrival in Foum Zguid, enjoy a short break with Moroccan tea. You may also choose a traditional cheche scarf, useful for protection from the sun, wind and sand.
In the afternoon, the adventure continues by 4x4 into Iriki National Park. The track crosses wild desert landscapes, rocky plateaus, wind-shaped mountains and the wide open spaces of the dried Iriki Lake.
By late afternoon, arrival at the Erg El Mhazil dunes. After settling into the desert bivouac, enjoy a camel ride at sunset and climb the dunes for unforgettable views over the Sahara.
In the evening, a traditional Moroccan dinner is served at the camp. Enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere, the campfire and a night in a comfortable tent under a clear star-filled sky.
Wake up in the calm of the Sahara and enjoy breakfast with views of the dunes. After a final moment in the desert, return by 4x4 to Foum Zguid through the landscapes of Iriki National Park.
The journey then continues by road toward Marrakech, passing through Tazenakht and the High Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the late afternoon.
